The home can be found situated in a tree lined road on the edge of Durdham Down, close to Whiteladies Road and the facilities offered by the vibrant community of Redland.

The accommodation includes two lounges on the ground floor, with a large socialising area and a smaller, more intimate seating area. The dining room is spacious and overlooks the garden. Patron House

Patron House

Bristol, BS9 3RU

Situated in Westbury-on-Trym, Patron House is unusual as a care home for older people as it is smaller in scale than many, accommodating a maximum of 12 people. The detached house is set in a large garden at the junction of Stoke Lane and Parry’s Lane. The Stoke Lane shops are a short walk. We believe the myth of the care home is not reflective of life at Patron House where there is minimum structure to the day and staff go with the flow wherever possible, responding to peoples wishes as and when they arrive.

We have 10 single occupancy rooms and a suite that comprises of two inter-connecting rooms and a bathroom which can be occupied by an individual or a couple. Residents can make use of a large lounge on the ground floor or the quiet lounge next to it that provides ample seating space. The dining room provides an intimate seating arrangement with small tables and built in feature period cabinets. The first floor can be accessed via our chairlift.

Our Home Manager Norman will be happy to tell you more about Patron House or arrange a visit for you to see for yourself.

Requires improvement

8 March 2023

Since receiving a rating of "Requires Improvement” relating to an inspection that took place in July 2022, we have worked with the CQC to amend inaccuracies in their report and to update the areas concerned to fully meet the high standards we set ourselves. Unfortunately, the Care Quality Commission no longer routinely re-visit service to reassess their ratings where this has been the case.  We are confident that we provide a Good service via our dedicated staff team
