Up Up and Away
August will see mass hot air balloon launches at the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta. We are hoping that with good weather we may see some of the hot air balloons overhead.  

But just to make sure we don’t miss out we are planning to arrange crafts activities in the homes based on this theme. We may not get to take off, but it should be fun.

Summer Garden Parties
As usual this year we are holding garden parties and hope that as many residents, families, friends and staff as possible are able to come along.  

Musical entertainment will be provided and weather permitting we can hold the events in the garden.  

More details can be found in each home and invites will be sent out.

Anyone for Tennis
We have all enjoyed watching the recent tennis at Wimbledon on the TV.

Not to be outdone by the strawberries and cream that the spectators will have been eating we decided to arrange our own strawberry and cream teas on the day of the men’s final.

Race for Life

This event took place in Bristol on the Downs in May 2010. 

We put out a strong team who jogged and walked their way around the 5km course. 

Lots of money was raised for Cancer Relief.

Luck of the Irish

On 17th March we celebrated St Patrick’s Day with different homes arranging a range of activities.  Residents at Belvedere Lodge painted rainbow wreaths and decorated them with cut out shamrocks, they also made ‘pots of gold’ to decorate the lounge.
