Dementia Quality Mark Success
Earlier in 2011 Hengrove Lodge applied for a scheme being run by Bristol City Council to recognise good quality dementia care provided in the home. After a rigorous process of form filling and inspection the application was submitted to panel and the award granted. Congratulations to all at Hengrove Lodge whose hard work and commitment have enabled the home to provide high quality dementia care and to have this formally recognised.

Trick or Treat

Staff and residents alike had fun celebrating Halloween on 31 October. 

We held parties in the homes with decorations and balloons being put up.

Residents enjoyed completing Halloween word games and taking part in the fancy dress.

We Are Here
AbleCare Homes are pleased to support a photography exhibition that is taking place in Bristol from 20 September until 17 December 2011.  It will feature older people taking part in activity and includes things that have been going on in all of our homes.
 
You may recognise the photograph that was taken on a mini bus trip from Frenchay House to Clifton Downs.  Bill and Margaret are sat in the sunshine enjoying the view.
 
We would encourage you to visit the exhibition.  We can’t wait to go and have a look.
